Strawberry Apple Cucumber Juice
Juicing is a simple and straight-forward way of consuming a variety of fruits and vegetables in an efficient, and enjoyable way. Some days it’s even difficult for me to acquire all my vegetables and fruits, so juicing is now my go-to. I have been juicing almost every day since I received my juicer as a gift for Christmas and I can already notice I have tons more energy!
A few considerations regarding juicing:
1. Drink on a empty stomach. The whole point of juicing is remove the fibre allowing for quick absorption to your cells. Drink 20 minutes before a meal or 2-3 hours after a meal.
2. Remember to rotate your greens. Using kale and spinach over and over may cause oxalic acid build up, which can cause hormonal imbalances affecting the thyroid gland.
3. Don’t wait too long to drink your juice. Once your juice has been exposed to air, the enzymes begin to degrade. Best to drink within 15 minutes or seal in an airtight container, and store in the fridge for up to 48 hours.

2 mini cucumbers or half a regular cucumber
TIP: Depending on your juices, reuse your pulp in recipes to reduce waste. Always compost unused pulp if you can.
